From: St. Theresa Primary School, Mbizana
This serves as confirmation that CIE Office in Kokstad had been a great source of strength to us, morally, spiritually and academically. We cannot mention all the help they have given us in this piece of paper but in a nutshell we can mention the following:
- Staff retreat which combine Flagstaff and all the catholic parish teachers
- The Echoing the Word which was joined by our five teachers which they enjoyed benefited so much especially our three young men.
- Staff development we had at our school alone where we could voice freely our feelings and our ignorance about many issues which we are sometimes shy to as when other teachers are with us because we are a new school. The clarity and motivation we got from Mrs. Napier.
- The HIV / AIDS workshops
- The counseling workshop
- Teenage and sex talk in Aunt Stella programme
- The Principals Forum meetings which has developed us to be a family where we share our problems as Principals
- RE workshops
- Lesson observations
- Foundation Phase and intermediate phase learning and teaching support material
- Foundation Phase Enhancing Literacy and Numeracy training
- Certificates of qualification in Numeracy and Literacy
- Pastoral Care workshops
- Leadership Sills training
- Sing for Life workshop where our children get the certificate
- School induction day with the Bishop and the CIE
- Mr. Meth come for marriage and family life sent by CIE to speak to the frustrated teachers.
- Education for life led by the diocesan team we called Hello Day.
For all these and many more deeds of kindness and caring we are very grateful to CIE. The school has gained much respect from the society and the government because of CIE. We are full Public School on Private Property with our teacher fully paid because of its morals and values
Yours in Christ. Sr. Jerome, Staff and children
